Educational Experience
Graduated High School in 1992 from Colcord, Oklahoma
Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education in 1997 from Northeastern State University
Master’s Degree in Education Administration 2007 from Grand Canyon University of Phoenix, Arizona
Previous Position
I started teaching at Colcord in the fall of 1998. I taught high school science, middle-level science, and driver education. I also served as the Varsity Head Football Coach from 2001-2011.
Current Position
I currently serve as the District Superintendent (10 years) and am entering my 26th year at Colcord Public Schools.
Family Information
I am married to Jera (Nicky) Shelley Simmons. We met at Colcord and were married in the summer of 1996. We have two daughters, Abby and Jenna. Abby is married to our son-in-law, Mr. Jager Pifer.
